- Can I share a package of massages or facials with my friends?
- Packages bought from Spa Northwest are only allowed to be shared with immediate family members, such as your spouse. Packages expire one year from the date of purchase.
- Do we accept AETNA insurance?
- We accept AETNA insurance if you or your spouse works for Manatee County and have the Ultimate AETNA plan. If you are a Manatee County Employee, the co-pay is $30 for an AETNA massage along with any upgrades to your service and gratuity. Customarily, gratuity is between 15%-20% depending on your level of satisfaction with your services.
- Can I cancel my service the day of my appointment?
- Same day cancellations are subject to a full charge. Our practitioners are only one person with one time slot to earn an income and it is only fair that they are compensated for their time that the client has booked. We try our best to fill that spot, however, depending on notice we have received for the cancellation we may not be able to fill the spot and charges will apply. Cancellations made the day before and within 24 hours of the service are subject to a $50 fee to compensate the practitioner for their time.
- When does my gift card expire?
- Gift cards purchased do not have expiration dates.
- Do we take Spa Finder Gift Cards?
- We have received calls from people letting us know that we are on the Spa Finder website as a provider to accept these cards. We have never signed up for this service and have tried to contact them to be removed, however, we still seem to receive calls regarding this. Unfortunately, as a small business, the expense that they charge to be able to accept their gift cards is too high and we could not stay in operation accepting Spa Finder Gift Certificates. We do not take any gift cards other than the ones purchased at Spa Northwest.
- What forms of payment are acceptable after a service?
- Upon booking your service, a credit card is requested on a secure site to secure the booking. Your card is not charged, and we cannot see anything other than the last 4 digits of the credit card number. After your service at check-out, you are welcome to pay via cash or debit and credit cards. Our card reader will not read visa gift cards, MasterCard gift cards, or any type of health insurance card. As a small business, cash is appreciated to reduce our fees, and the practitioners appreciate cash as a gratuity but understand that is not always available. Customarily, gratuities are between 15%-20% depending on your level of satisfaction with your services.
- Where are we located?
- We are located in between Blake Hospital and the Bishop Animal Shelter off 21st in Tanglewood Plaza. We are a large, white building with a gravel parking lot. Additional paved parking is available as you enter into Spa Northwest parking lot in Tanglewood Plaza.
